THE BILLBOARD INDUSTRY
If you are unsure of billboard advertising, please take a moment to read why outdoor advertising would be beneficial to your business.
The Arbitron Outdoor Study released in September of 2001, emphasized the importance of outdoor advertising when they reported that Americans are more mobile than ever, so the use of outdoor media has never been more essential. In fact, media that targets vehicle drivers and passengers reaches 96% of Americans weekly!
Billboard advertising has many benefits, including:
* The most cost-efficient form of advertising;
* Domination with size, color, and brevity;
* Maintaining market presence by achieving large audience exposure; and
* Repeated familiarity, exposure, and retention for “top-of-the-mind awareness”.
Many people may feel that billboard advertising is too expensive, however, since billboard advertising has the “lowest cost per thousand” of all media, your company cannot afford to miss out on this opportunity. High traffic volume in all of these areas allows you to reach THOUSANDS of people everyday for a fraction of the price of other media. Not to mention, you can reach people 24 hours per day – 7 days per week, unlike the other media!

The Differences between "paper" and "vinyl"
"Paper"
There is one plus for using a paper covering…it costs less. The down side to using paper is as follows:
(1) you lose 6” of advertising space around the entire board;
(2) you do not receive as vibrant of colors;
(3) length of use is 30 days or less;
(4) not guaranteed to withstand the elements of Mother Nature; (5) cannot reuse or move covering.

"Vinyl"
The initial cost may be more than a paper, but there are several advantages to using a vinyl covering.
(1) can bleed your advertisement out to the edges to gain maximum exposure;
(2) allows you to have the vibrant colors that show off your business;
(3) covering can be used for approximately 1 – 3 years before the colors begin to fade;
(4) allows you to move your covering to different locations and be taken down, stored and reused at a later date.
